The symbol of the GOAT expresses the nature of those born between the dates of December 20 and January 19. Capricorns are determined climbers who proceed along one of two diverse paths. You can bet whatever a Capricorn decides to do for a living it is serious. From the beginning many Capricorns feel that they are somehow restricted from doing what they want. They may feel tied up in the expectations of a parent or their family image. Even when they have the resources for further training, things do not always proceed as planned. Once given the opportunity Capricorns rise easily up the success ladder because they are willing to take on responsibility. Consequently many Capricorns are executives, administrators and managers. More than a few Capricorns find their place in political office as the recognition and power appeals to them. Other Capricorns look for a niche in the business world, such as trading, banking or securities, and lots of Capricorns just work hard for a living. Drawing upon their capacity for precision, they make excellent engineers, architects, and craftspeople. There are also many Capricorns making a significant contribution in the physical sciences.
Capricorns are not the easiest people to get along. They view themselves as realists and are driven to improve their status or character. Just because they choose not to express personal feelings, doesn't mean they are without them. Actually they show their concern by being responsible and desire recognition from people closest to them for being so serious. Male and female alike, must be coaxed, if not forced, to accept and show the affection that most people expect in relationships. Because Capricorns themselves are self-disciplined, they expect results from others and regrettably may forget to show their appreciation. They drive a hard bargain equally with strangers or family, but it's usually fair. Capricorns enjoy positions of authority, otherwise they may act in a servile manner. They are no strangers to melancholy and cynicism, which colors their dark sense of humor.
